Heritage Orchard
Our heritage orchard sits on family land in Big Bend Area of North Florida, where the rich soil and mild North Florida climate create ideal growing conditions for traditional Southern fruit and Berry varieties. Every tree and vine is cultivated without synthetic pesticides, using regenerative practices that build healthy soil season after season. From apples to sweet satsuma mandarins, our orchard crops are harvested at peak ripeness and available seasonally at local markets and through our farm boxes.
North Florida Apples (July–September)
Our low‑chill apple collection includes proven Deep South cultivars such as ‘Anna,’ ‘Dorsett Golden,’ ‘Ein Shemer,’ and ‘TropicSweet.’ These heat‑tolerant varieties are bred to thrive in North Florida’s warm climate, producing crisp, aromatic fruit even with minimal winter chill. Each cultivar ripens fully on the tree, developing bright flavor, balanced sweetness, and a refreshing crunch ideal for fresh eating, slicing, and light baking. Available fresh throughout the early‑ to mid‑summer harvest season.
Satsuma Mandarins (November January)
These cold-hardy citrus trees thrive in North Florida’s climate, producing sweet, seedless mandarins that peel effortlessly. Our satsumas ripen on the tree through late fall and into winter, delivering bright, juicy flavor at a time when most local fruit is out of season.
Muscadine Grapes (August October)
A true Southern native, muscadine grapes flourish in North Florida’s heat and humidity where other grape varieties struggle. Their thick skins and intensely sweet, musky flavor make them perfect for fresh eating, homemade jams, and winemaking. We grow bronze and purple varieties, harvested by hand at peak sweetness.
Asian Pears (August–October)
Our Asian pear trees yield crisp, juicy fruit with a refreshing sweetness and a satisfying crunch. Unlike European pears, Asian pears ripen fully on the tree and are ready to harvest when they reach full color and develop their signature fragrance. Their firm texture makes them excellent for fresh eating, salads, and long storage. Available fresh at late‑summer and early‑fall markets, with select varieties stored for extended availability
Figs (June August)
We grow heirloom Brown Turkey and Celeste fig varieties, prized for their honey-sweet flesh and Jamy texture. North Florida’s warm summers produce abundant harvests from early June through August. Enjoy them fresh off the tree, dried for year-round snacking, or preserved as fig jam.
Persimmons (October December)
Our native American persimmon trees produce fruit with a rich, custard-like sweetness when fully ripe. Patience is key with persimmons they must soften on the branch before harvest, transforming from astringent to deeply sweet. Available fresh at fall markets, or frozen for baking and smoothies year-round.
Blueberries (April June)
Our Rabbit eye blueberry bushes thrive in North Florida’s acidic, sandy soils and mild winters. From April through June, we hand-pick plump, sweet berries at the peak of ripeness. Perfect for snacking, baking, smoothies, or freezing to enjoy the taste of a Florida spring all year long.
